The Parkinson's Center of Acadiana brings together specialized therapies, evidence-based programs, community resources, and their compassionate team to support people living with Parkinson's disease and their families across Acadiana.

Rock Steady Boxing Acadiana
An exercise program tailored for Parkinson's — improves strength, balance, coordination, and confidence through coached boxing-style and functional training.
Continued Care: Our team developed a partnership with University of Louisiana at Lafayette for our boxer graduates to continue with their continum of care!

LSVT BIG & LOUD
Research-backed physical and speech therapy programs that focus on amplitude (BIG) and vocal loudness (LOUD) to improve movements and communication.

PWR! Moves
Progressive, whole-body exercises that emphasize neuroplasticity and the retraining of everyday movements. Let’s get you moving!

Speak Out & Voice Therapy
Individual and group-based speech therapy using Speak Out principles to strengthen voice and improve speech intelligibility and social connection.
Therapies & Clinical Roles
Bringing our client’s award winning care
We offer coordinated therapy services so each person receives the right mix of care:
Physical Therapy — manage pain and mobility limitations, deliver LSVT BIG, PWR! Moves, balance and gait training, fall-prevention strategies, and individualized home exercise plans.
Occupational Therapy — help with daily activities, adaptive strategies, and deliver LSVT BIG and PWR! programming focused on meaningful functional goals.
Speech Therapy — provide LSVT LOUD and Speak Out therapy to address voice, communication, swallowing safety (dysphagia) screening and management, and strategies for clear communication in social settings.
Our multidisciplinary team collaborates with neurologists, primary care, caregivers, and community partners to build an individualized care plan focused on function, quality of life, and participation.
PCA’s Community Resource Hub
Facing Parkinson's takes a village. Our Community Resource Hub connects clients and families with:
Local support groups and caregiver education
Transportation and mobility resources
Legal, financial, and advance-care planning referrals
Adaptive equipment suppliers and home-safety services
Volunteer and social engagement opportunities
Links to clinical trials, research partners, and specialty care
The Hub is curated to keep resources current and practical — our team helps families navigate options and access what they need.

RISE Acadiana — Our Nonprofit
RISE Acadiana was founded to give back to the Parkinson's community across Acadiana. Through RISE we:
Provide program scholarships for Rock Steady Boxing, LSVT sessions, and community exercise classes
Support caregiver respite and education
Fund outreach and resource development in rural and underserved areas
Build partnerships with hospitals, clinics, and research programs to expand access
